A museum owner is looking forward to laying down the red carpet for film and TV stars for an upcoming sci-fi event.

On October 29, Neil Cole’s ‘Museum of Classic Sci-Fi’ is once again hosting the ‘Day of the Triffid’ event which will see a popular line-up - deemed 'too good' to be missed.

One of the attendees is producer/production manager, Margot Hayhoe, who in addition to working for several decades on the classic years of BBC’s Doctor Who and The Tripods, also helped produce the BBC’s definitive adaption of Wyndham’s apocalyptic novel in 1981.

"Margot has the rare distinction of having worked with all four of the first four-screen incarnations of The Doctor – William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, and Peter Davison," Neil said.

"Alongside Margot, is legendary, award-winning Director Graeme Harper, who provides another incredible coup for the museum.

"Sophie Aldred is appearing once again as valiant companion Ace in the latest installment of the new series of Doctor Who, independent producer/director Keith Barnfather and author Adrian Rigelsford – the latter whom developed the legendary but sadly ill-fated Dark Dimension Doctor Who story with Graeme in the 1990s."

On the day there will also be a screening of Keith’s documentary Doctor on Display, which will form part of the day’s events at Allendale Village Hall.

Neil adds: "The documentary will also boast Doctor Who monster makers Phil Robinson and Hal Townsend, the incredible Doctor Who muppet show, Avenue Q and a special appearance by Davros himself."
