The Times Book of the month author calls upon 'wanna-be' novel writers to sign up for her online course.

Hexham author Sarah Stovell is hoping to encourage those interested in writing novels to get pen to paper with her online writing course, which she hopes will give them confidence to pursue their dream.

"I’ve been writing for a long time and I’ve also spent the last ten years teaching undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at universities," Sarah said.

"I know there are a lot of other people out there who have a novel inside them and want to get it out, but they don’t know where to start or they’re afraid of starting."

"They don’t have the time or money to take years out of their lives to do a degree in creative writing but would welcome the chance to have someone to guide them with their work."

"It can also be difficult to commit to a regular evening class, so I have designed the course for those people who would like help with their writing, but who can’t always commit to face-to-face classes."

"The course is brand-new and called 'Get that novel on the page' and will take you from the barest bones of an idea all the way to a finished novel, with a combination of video tutorials, workbooks and one-to-one feedback sessions.

"Currently, I am looking for students to try it for me at a heavily discounted price.

"In exchange, they will receive the full course and I will ask them to give me feedback on what is working and what they think could be improved.

"The full course will cost £215 when it goes live, but I am offering it to ten beta-students for £99."
