POLICE searching for a missing Consett man have carried out searches in Stocksfield.
Mark Shield was last seen at his home on Langdon Close at around 7.40pm on September 14.
The 37-year-old is described as around 5ft7 of medium build, with dark brown hair, and may be wearing jeans and a black top.
He is believed to be driving a white '12 plate Nissan Qashqai.
Mark has strong links to the Consett and Derwentside areas, police said.
Anybody who believes they may have seen Mark, or has information relating to his whereabouts, is asked to contact Durham Police on 101.
The police helicopter was hovering over parts of Stocksfield yesterday (September 15), including Guessburn and Broomley Woods.
