A LANE on the A69 was blocked this morning after a heavy goods vehicle broke down.
Shortly before 8am today (Monday), police received a report a HGV had broken down heading towards Newcastle near the Brockbushes roundabout.
The vehicle was recovered just before 9.30am but caused delays in the area due to rush hour traffic.
A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said: "Officers attended the scene to assist where one lane was partially blocked.
"The vehicle has since been recovered and the road has cleared."
