The countdown is on for a team of firefighters set to take on a fundraiser challenge.
The crew of Allendale Fire Station is preparing themselves to complete the Hadrian’s Wall Path challenge in one go for The Fire Fighters Charity on Saturday, August 27.
"The team are really getting excited now and can’t wait for Saturday morning," said firefighter Dave Stevens.
"It’s a very daunting prospect to be walking Hadrian’s Wall end to end in one go but knowing that we are doing it for such a great cause and have the support of so many people is what inspires us.
"We know there will be low points both physically and mentally but as a team, we will help and encourage each other to the end.
"We have no doubt that there will be no better feeling than walking into the finish on Sunday afternoon, knowing that we have achieved something massive."
