A VILLAGE show will make its return in September after the pandemic forced the event to be postponed for the past two years.

The Kirkwhelpington Show is set to make a welcome return on Saturday, September 3 after it has not taken place for the last two years due to the pandemic and its restrictions.

It will take place on the village green and in the village hall. The marquee opens for entries at 10am.

"Despite the long wait for the event, we are hoping that people have not forgotten how to knit, sew, grow fabulous flowers and vegetables, or make prize-winning cakes and jams," said show secretary Anne Palmer.
