MORE students in Tynedale are celebrating excellent A-Level results.
At Hexham's Queen Elizabeth High School, 92 per cent of pupils gained A*-C grades.
And 100 per cent of students achieved a pass in vocational qualifications.
Five students have secured places at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, while four will be studying medicine and veterinary medicine courses.
There are also 14 students who will be studying degree courses with NHS placements.
Neil Seaton, head of school, said: "We are immensely proud of the achievements of all our students.
"The staff and students have worked tirelessly to prepare for the first formal examinations since 2019 and we are delighted to see our students move onto a variety of positive destinations."
This year at the school, 52 per cent of grades were A*/A (or equivalent), with 63 students achieving 3 or more A*/A grades (or equivalent) including 11 students who have achieved 3 or more A* (or equivalent) grades.
