THE headteacher of Haydon Bridge High School has said their students have 'excelled' in both their A-Level and BTEC qualifications this year.
Students have collected their results today, having sat exams for the first time since the coronavirus outbreak.
Headteacher Michael Smith said all their students who applied for university have achieved that goal, and are embarking on a range of courses, from Law to Engineering, at universities from Newcastle to Staffordshire.
He added a number of students have already started apprenticeships or gone into employment.
He said: “This group of young people have faced many challenges during their education journey over the last three years and these results represent their determination to do well and move on to their chosen next steps.
"We are very proud of what they have achieved.”
