A MUCH-LOVED summer show is returning this month.
From humble beginnings back in 1842, the Bellingham Show and Country Festival has grown to become one of the most hotly-anticipated events in the county’s calendar.
It has been unable to go ahead for the past two years due to Covid-19, but this year it will take place on Saturday, August 27 from 9am to 5pm.
The main ring attraction will be the Broke FMX motocross display team, and there will also be vintage vehicles and terrier racing.
As well as a range of sheep, horse and industrial classes, visitors will also be able to watch the ever-popular dog show and wrestling.
There will also be a craft tent, two beer tents and a variety of refreshments and food on offer, as well as the chance to listen to local bands and Northumbrian piping.
Children can enjoy a range of activities and funfair rides.
Early bird discount tickets are available until August 20 here. Tickets can also be bought at the gate on arrival.
