6 Langley Castle Hotel and Restaurant, Langley-on-Tyne

A 10 acre woodland estate and landscaped gardens makes Langley Castle a perfect venue for a fairytale wedding.

The venue only hosts one wedding a day, meaning staff pay the utmost care and attention to every wedding party.

Having been voted the Best Hotel for Romance, Langley Castle offers a couple's package for those wishing to enjoy a special Wedding for Two.

A Tripadvisor review said: "The wedding guests had exclusive use of the castle the day and night of the wedding and we had the most magical day.

"The castle is stunning, the staff very attentive, the food amazing. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough for a wedding, an overnight stay or even an afternoon tea, it really is quite delightful," they added.

7 Capheaton Hall, Capheaton

The hall boasts four reception rooms, and landscaped gardens offer the chance to erect a marquee or tipi.

The business emphasises on the flexibility of the venue - there are no package offers, meaning the organisation is down to the bride or host to plan the wedding.

"From the moment we first visited the venue we fell in love with the beautiful grounds and lovely scenery. The house was great inside and as a whole offered lots of photo opportunities to capture our special day," one Tripadvisor review said.

A Google review said: "Attended Capheaton Hall for a wedding, the ground and house are somewhat incredible. Would recommend."

8 Vallum Marquee and Tipi Wedding Venue, East Wallhouses

The business' key aim is to be the best foodie wedding venue in the North, and it won Best Venue North in the English Wedding Awards in 2018.

One Google review said: "As soon as we viewed the venue we fell in love with it. It's enough of a blank canvas to make the room your own but also has it's own charm and doesn't need much done at all.

"It was truly a perfect day and can't recommend Vallum Farm enough," they said.

9 Kielder Waterside Tipi Weddings, Kielder

"Beautiful venue. We had the ceremony on the waterside, which was beautiful. The staff at Kielder are amazing and very attentive. We had a steel band outside the Tipi which made a real party atmosphere.

"Amazing experience, a lot of guests said it was the best wedding they have been to," one Google review said.

Another said: "The on-site lodges were also excellent and all of our guests loved staying there the night before and day after. Especially the guys with the hot tubs. Gives people the flexibility to make a holiday of it if they like."
