Employees at a hardware store found a unique way to cool down in a heatwave.
Unable to cope with the scorching heatwave on Tuesday, July 20 with temperatures up to 36 degrees around Northumberland, staff at PPH Hire & Supplies hardware store in Haltwhistle decided to make a pool in one of their machinery.
Director of PPH Hire & Supplies Carole Potts said: "The staff wanted to cool down in the hot weather.
"Apparently it took about 20 minutes to fully fill up the machinery.
"I was there when they started but went home before it was filled up.
"All the staff involved had a great time cooling off and enjoyed relaxing in their own private pool.
"I know one of the staff Owen loved jumping in the 'mobile pool'.
"It was a nice treat for them for working in the hot weather."
