A PRUDHOE charity shop is to reopen tomorrow (July 2) after a fire on the high street.
Tynedale Hospice at Home will reopen at 9.30am with a half-price (or less) sale.
It comes after fire services were called to Prudhoe Front Street on June 30 after a fire was believed to have broken out in the basement below the shop, which the hospice say is not part of its premises.
Three fire engines from Prudhoe and Hexham attended.
A spokeswoman for Tynedale Hospice at Home said: "Fortunately, nobody was injured.
"We are grateful to the emergency services for their quick response to the scene.
"Damage to the shop has been minimal and will remain closed today (Friday, July 1)."
A spokeswoman for Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service added: "This was a fire in a ground floor, basement flat, no persons were injured, and the fire was extinguished by crews using 1 hose reel."
