Fire in Prudhoe
FIRE crews are responding to an incident in Prudhoe.
Three fire engines from Prudhoe and Hexham are at the scene on Prudhoe Front Street.
Northumberland Fire and Rescue said the fire was under control but crews were checking for spreading.
People are asked to avoid the area.
UPDATE: Fire crews left the scene around 10pm.
The fire is believed to have been in the basement of Tynedale Hospice at Home.
The shop will be closed tomorrow.
The basement is not part of the premises, the hospice says.
