HEXHAM'S MP has praised a housing company for its promise to replace play equipment in an estate.

Guy Opperman is encouraged by the response and commitment from Karbon Homes after they confirmed they would replace the equipment in the play area at Langley Gardens, in Haydon Bridge, following complaints from residents.

Residents looked to Mr Opperman for support when he had received concerns from them that the play area had fallen into disrepair and become unsightly to look at.

Karbon Homes have told the MP that the equipment will be delivered and installed in September, subject to the equipment being delivered on time.

Mr Opperman said: “I am pleased that Karbon Homes have committed to replacing the equipment at the play area in Langley Gardens.

"The play area has fallen into disrepair and become an eyesore for local residents.

"I want to thank local residents for bringing this issue to my attention.”
