Road closure and one-way system planned in town
DRIVERS could face delays in Hexham from next month when roadworks begin.
A one-way system will be introduced on the B6305 Hencotes from July 25 until September 2, during the school summer holidays, while footway repair and civils and drainage works are carried out.
A new crossing point will also be installed.
Traffic will be required to travel in a westerly junction, from its junction with Beaumont Street heading west.
Hencotes will be fully closed from August 30 to September 2 between the hours of 5pm and midnight.
