Police recovered a farmer's tractor's trailer after it tipped over on a busy road.
The road was shut as police worked to remove the trailer.
Northumbria Police were called around 2.20pm on Tuesday.
When they arrived at the incident, which was near Bridge End, and closed the Anick junction.
No-one was hurt in the incident and the road reopened shortly afterwards.
A force spokesman said: “Just before 2.20pm on Tuesday police received a report a tractor with a trailer had fallen on to its side while travelling near Bridge End, Hexham.
“Officers attended the scene and the road was closed at the Anick junction while the vehicle was uplifted.
“No one sustained any injuries during the incident.”
