Parkrun to host Pride celebration
TYNE Green parkrun will host a Pride celebration next month.
There will be music and cake at the finish of the special 5k parkun, which will take place on Saturday, July 16.
Northumberland Pride will also be supporting the event in their Pride Van.
Claire Knowles, Run Director at Tyne Green parkrun, said all are welcome and that they encourage people to dress in what makes them happy.
"It will be a great morning to celebrate inclusivity and diversity," she said.
The first-timers welcome briefing will be at 8.50am near the children's playpark. The parkrun starts at 9am.
