A FIRE CREW was called to a fire in the middle of the night in a Northumberland town.
Last night (June 11), Haltwhistle Fire and Rescue crew attended an incident at Woodhead Lane.
The crew found that two wheelie bins had been set on fire.
Crews believe this to be an isolated incident.
A Fire spokesperson said: "We received a call at 23.50pm on June 11 about two wheelie bins that had been set on fire.
"Only one crew from Haltwhistle fire station was needed and one hose to extinguish the fire."
