A CORBRIDGE man has been banned from the roads after he admitted drink driving.
William Coates, of St Helen's Way, appeared at Newcastle Magistrates' Court last Wednesday (May 25).
He pleaded guilty to driving with 91mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood on the Military Road near Vallum Farm on December 18, 2021. The legal limit is 80mg.
The 20-year-old was fined £200 and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a surcharge of £34.
