A PRIMARY school celebrated the Platinum Jubilee on Thursday, May 26 with a barbecue and planting a small fruit orchard.
Wendy Goddard, Headteacher of Bellingham Primary School, said: "We had a fantastic afternoon with family and friends in the sunshine at school, playing games and doing scavenger hunts.
"The children had quizzes and crafts to keep them busy as well as cupcakes to decorate, kindly donated by our school meals provider The Boe Rigg.
"Children and parents, with some help from Reverend Claire, planted a small fruit orchard and everyone received a special Jubilee commemorative medal.
"Donations from LowChesterhope Meats and Bellingham Parish Council made it a very successful event to mark a very special occasion - one that I'm sure we'll all remember," she said.
