A PRUDHOE man has been jailed for controlling and coercive behaviour.
At Newcastle Crown Court on May 13, Thomas Monnelly (27) pleaded guilty to engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour between August 1 last year and March 23 this year.
He has now been sentenced to nine months in prison.
Monnelly, of Biverfield Road, was also handed a 5-year restraining order banning him from contacting the victim and ordered to pay a £156 victim surcharge.
