A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after an incident on a roundabout in Ponteland
Around 1 am on Friday, 20 May, Police were called to a one-vehicle incident near Callerton Lane, Darras Hall in Ponteland.
Emergency crews attended the scene and the man was taken to hospital with ‘serious’ injuries.
The road had been temporarily closed but has now reopened.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At about 1.15am today (Friday) we received a report of a one-vehicle collision at the roundabout near Callerton Lane, Darras Hall.
“Emergency services attended and a man in his 30s was taken to hospital with multiple injuries that are described as serious.
“The road was temporarily closed but has since reopened. Anyone with information or who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of our website or by calling 101 quoting log NP-20220520-0059.”
