A businessman is thrilled with the success and his team at his pub and hotel after receiving an award from a popular food review website.

Owner of the Manor House in Haltwhistle, Terry Christie, has announced that his business has received a 'Recommended' award by Restaurant Guru, one of the world's most popular foodie website with over 30 million users.

The buisness man took over the resturant in 2018 and has already won several awards from Trip Adviser and recommendations from the readers of Hexham Courant of their sunday dinners.

Speaking about the achievement Terry said: "We are going from strength to strength with the business and I am so proud of the team.

"We have come so far with the business, it is unbelievable.

"Resturant Guru awards are handed to buisnesses who have received the most positive recommendations by the public.

"We managed to get enough of them to get the badge.

"Most of these types of awards and a lot of positive reviews are given to businesses in bigger towns and cities such as Newcastle and Sunderland.

"So for somewhere like the Manor House to recieve it, it is amazing.

"It is great for Haltwhistle."
