A HEXHAM singer-songwriter is about to release his latest single.

Chris Kelly wrote and recorded 'Better Days' during the first and second lockdowns of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Chris, 25, said: "Better Days is a deeply personal song for me as it details moving away from one of the most difficult periods of my life and towards a much more positive time.

"It's something that I feel many of us can relate to as we hopefully start to move away from the Covid-19 pandemic.

"The song is even more poignant for myself as since writing it in the spring of 2020, I have had many ups and downs and it acts as a reminder that if you work hard and are as honest as you can be, things can always get better."

'Better Days' will be available on all streaming platforms from Friday, May 6.

A live acoustic version will feature on Chris' upcoming EP, Live at Loft Studios, later this year.

Chris has been performing and releasing music for the last nine years starting with his first band, Blind Buffalo, before he turned solo.
