1st Hexham Scout Group is expanding - with new divisions for different age groups.
Explorer Scouts will cater for young people aged 14-18, while the Squirrel section will be open to 4-6-year-olds.

"It's a really good experience for them", said group Scout leader Stuart Ford. "And we get the enjoyment of seeing the kids enjoy it - we know how much they enjoy it because we've done it before."
The Scout centre, on Maiden's Walk, is used by groups on evenings and weekends. The building is also available for private hire.
