A PUB in Corbridge will host a four day beer festival from Thursday, April 21 at 5pm until Sunday, April 24.

The Wheatsheaf will host live music from local band Blistered Molly, and will sell craft beer produced by five local brewers.

Mat Geldard, The Wheatsheaf's landlord, said they are very excited to hold the festival, and are hoping to hold more large scale events in the future.

"Five local brewers will be set up in the conservatory area, and a new beer will be launched from the band," he said.

Blistered Molly will play on Friday, April 22 from 9pm, and will launch their own beer, Rockin' Blonde Ale.

"We're working with some of the best local craft brewers around," Mat said.

Mat said 200 people attended the pub's event on Saturday, April 16. The pub held a fundraising night for the International Committee of the Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal. The band China Drum, a punk rock band from Ovingham, played acoustic music at the event.

The Great North Eastern Brewing Company from Gateshead, Firebrick Brewery from Blaydon, Hexhamshire Brewery from Hexham, and Backlash Brewery from Prudhoe will sell their produce during the festival.
