1. Landscape Ceramics Exhibitions

The exhibition by ceramicist and illustrator, Syl Macro, will explore the techniques of impressing, marbling and printing to create the patterns and textures within our landscape.

2. Tribute Festival

When? Saturday, April 2

Where? Neptune House, Riverside Newcastle

Set in an iconic live music venue, the building has hosted acts such as Public Image Ltd, Courtney Love, and The Zombies. The Tribute Festival will bring the UK's best tribute acts together and celebrate the best of music and culture including The Beatles, ABBA, Queen and Oasis.

3. Stargazing at Stonehaugh

Where? Stonehaugh Activity Centre

Explore the mechanics of the universe, what is inside the heart of a star, and the workings of everything material. The event will run from 8pm until 10pm.

4. Teapot Making

When? Saturday, April 2

Where? Queen's Hall, Hexham

Muddy Fingers Pottery brings a teapot making session to Hexham, where you can make a two cup teapot of your own design. Learn new skills in making and designing ceramics, before your new teapot is bisque fired and glazed in a colour of your choice.

5. The Border Readers Present: Many Deadly Returns

Where? Hexham Library

The Border Readers present an evening of live crime fiction readings from four contrasting tales in 'Many Deadly Returns', the 21st anniversary anthology of crime stories written by The Murder Squad, a group of award-winning crime and mystery writers.

From aliens and spies, to dinosaurs and war heroes, join London Concertante for an evening of iconic Hollywood film soundtracks, from the action-packed to the uplifting.

7. Sage Gateshead Chamber Choir

When? Saturday, April 2

Where? St Andrews Church, Corbridge

The choir will perform a concert of a capella music including pieces by Britten and Byrd, and by Finzi, Gjeilo, Lotti, and Parry.

8. Sunday lunch at The Boatside Inn

When? Sunday, April 3

Where? Warden, Hexham

Serving roast silverside of beef, roast loin of pork, roast turkey, and roast leg of lamb, The Boatside Inn take it one step further and serve 'The Big Norm' - a giant Yorkshire pudding, filled with all the meats.

9. The Phantom of the Open

Where? The Forum Cinema, Hexham

Telling the remarkable true story of Maurice Flitcroft, a crane operator and optimistic dreamer, the narrative explores how he managed to gain entry into the 1976 British Open qualifying, despite never having played a round of golf before.
