FESTIVAL organisers have issued several refunds to ticket holders.

Corbridge Festival organisers have issued refunds to several ticket holders after being contacted through social media.

Jude Martin, a ticket holder who has now been issued a refund, said: "After contacting the Hexham Courant and Corbridge Festival through Facebook messenger, a refund to me was arranged by them. I know a couple of people have received their money but it does appear only those who have raised this and shouted have been lucky. Not acceptable, and still no announcement from the organisers."

The organisers have not published any official statements since announcing the festival was not going ahead in 2021, and that it had been rescheduled to 2022.

Nick Oliver, Corbridge Coun. said: "Tynedale Rugby Club have confirmed that there has been no booking of their facilities for the festival this year and it's a shame it will no longer be happening in Corbridge. I've attended just about every time and it has been a great event in the past."

After being contacted through social media, Corbridge Festival responded to Jude Martin early on Monday, March 7 to ask for the ticket holder's details to arrange a refund, and said they would ensure it was processed quickly.

Jude received a full refund the following day on Tuesday, March 8.
