Police are appealing for information and are hoping to locate 'those responsible' after a break-in at a church hall.
On Tuesday evening at 5.50 pm, police received a report about a break-in at the Holy Cross Church Hall in Haltwhistle.
Witnesses saw 'group of teenagers' had broken in and caused damage to the building.
The building is currently owned by Cllr Terry Christie.
A spokeswoman said: "Shortly after 5.50pm on Tuesday night, we received a report of a break-in at the derelict Holy Cross Church, Haltwhistle.
"It was reported that a small group of teenagers had broken in and caused damage to the property before fleeing the area.
"Enquiries are ongoing to locate those responsible, anyone with any information should contact us using reference number 24989F/22."
