THE dates for one of the most highly anticipated events in the county’s social calender have been announced.

The annual Tynedale Beer and Cider Festival will run from June 17-19 at Tynedale Park in Corbridge.

Ticket sales have now opened with more details expected to soon be announced.

The popular event sees revellers sample some of the finest alcoholic drinks, raise money for good causes and enjoy live music.

Tynedale Lions and Tynedale Rugby Club organise the festival, which will be in its 21st year, with the help of volunteers.

Last year, when the event was held in September, more than 95 real ales served on draught, as well as craft keg beers, 36 craft ciders and perries, and other bar classics were available for enthusiasts to try and enjoy. The festival also had a wine and gin bar.

A number of local food vans were also on site.
