A woman has been rushed to the hospital after a medical emergency.

Police and ambulances services, including The Great North Air Ambulance, were called out before 11 am on 4 Jan, to attend to an incident in Priestpopple, Hexham.

The incident involved a woman having a medical emergency and was later transported to hospital by ambulance.

A forces spokesperson said: "Emergency services were called to a woman having a medical emergency near Zyka restaurant in Priestpopple."

A spokesperson for The Great North Air Ambulance adds: "We were called out shortly 11 am to an incident in Hexham.

"We did not lift anyone from the scene."
