THE most expensive properties sold in Tynedale and Ponteland over the last year have been revealed.

Property data from the Land Registry shows 114 Runnymede Road in Darras Hall was the most expensive property sold in the area.

The home was sold for £5,800,000 in May.

The second most expensive house sold across the year was also on Runnymede Road. Number 66 on the road sold for £5,000,000 in February.

2 Apperley Road, which was sold in June, was the third most expensive home sold. The property in Stocksfield was bought by its new owner for £2,700,000.

In May, Toft Hall Farm in Kirkheaton sold for £1,989,920, making it the fourth most expensive home sold in the area this year.

A property in Corbridge, Orchard Vale, was the fifth most expensive sold in 2021. The five-bedroom home sold for £1,880,000 in March.

Highcroft House, on The Avenue in Medburn, is sixth on the list. The property was sold for £1,175,000 in June.

Stone-built Willoughby House, in Matfen, sold for £1,600,000 in April, while 1 Kingsway, in Ponteland, was sold for the same price in June, making them joint seventh on the list.

In eighth place is Riding Mill's Grey Court, which sold for £1,500,000. The property changed hands in March.

Rounding out the top 10 is another home on Runnymede Road. Number 111 sold for £1,475,000 in April.
