A business owner has been nominated for a National award.

Zoe Philipson, of Hexhamshire, who runs Tyne Valley Ices has been nominated for a national award for her mobile ice cream businesses.

The award is to celebrate people who excel in the ice cream industry, which in the past Zoe has placed second two years in a row.

This year Zoe is once again currently in the final three.

She said: "I’m excited to see what happens in the final.

"Being the only female in the final three years in a row is exceptional and I’m so grateful to get where I I’m today.

"In February, I will need to attend an interview with a judging panel who will decide who will win.

"During the interview I will need to present a portfolio and be asked several relevant questions from industry experts.

"The winner will then be announced at the ice cream alliance dinner dance at Harrogate."
