A FLOOD alert has been issued for the River Rede.
The Environment Agency has said flooding is possible for the River Ride and its tributaries from Catcleugh Reservoir to the Redesmouth.
River levels are high on the River Rede as a result of heavy rainfall overnight.
Areas most at risk are riverside footpaths and low lying and roads, the Environment Agency said.
They added while there is less rainfall forecast today (December 5) and water levels at Otterburn are beginning to fall, levels downstream at Rede Bridge are expected to stay high for most of the day.
