AN afternoon tea has raised over £900 for a local charity.
The Queen's Hall Cafe event, organised by Sue Bell, of Violet's Quality Tableware Hire, and Leanne Scudamore, of the Queen's Hall Cafe, saw £923 raised for Tynedale Hospice at Home.
Guests enjoyed pastries, scones and sandwiches from fine bone china plates. They also had a choice of teas or Prosecco to drink.
A raffle boosted funds with prizes donated by local businesses.
“What a beautiful, stylish event put together with so much attention to detail and so much kindness", said Cathy Bates, Tynedale Hospice at Home fundraising manager.
"We are indebted to Sue and Leanne and to everyone who attended and supported this event.
"All money raised will help local people, right here in Tynedale. Thank you!”
Tynedale Hospice at Home operates three services: end of life nursing care, hospital transport and pre and post bereavement services.
