THE Corbridge annual late night shopping evening is one of the most-loved events in the village's social calendar.

With music, street food, stalls and the opportunity to browse the village's shops for a few hours later than usual, the evening heralds the start of the festive season for many.

In 2019, organisers believed 13,500 people browsed the stalls on offer, visited local shops, tasted the food and drink on offer, and heard carol singing.

This year, Corbridge’s shops will be open for late night festive shopping on Monday, December 6.

Hexham Brass and Prudhoe Gleemen will also be performing in St Andrew’s Church Yard from early evening.

However, there will be no stalls, street food, and other entertainment, like in previous years.
