A POPULAR gift fair has returned this week, raising money for local charities.

The Tynedale gift fair will be raising money for the great north air ambulance service and the compassionate friends, which is a support group formed by and for parents whose children have died.

This year the fair which has raised over £48,000 for local charities, will be held at the Tynedale farmer function suite at the Hexham Mart.

The fair starts on November, 1, 2021 between 3pm and 7:30pm and finishes on November, 2, 2021 between 9:30am and 3pm.

Admission for the event is £3 and free parking is available on site.

This year sees 12 new stores take part in this fundraising event, including.

- Flamingo Paperie, selling charity Christmas cards, wrapping paper and advent calendars.

- Handmade by tink, handmade soap for children. Sink items, cotton facecloth, wooden nailbrush's and soap dishes.

- Nichola Jones, Luxury candles, diffusers, melts, oils and room sprays.

- Shopafrolics, Handbags and fashion accessories like scarves, purses, jewellery and small furniture.

- Laland and Bo, Equestrian and country themed jewellery, gifts and bespoke clothing.

- Robinsons of Wingate ltd, Pies, quiche, honey roast ham.

Many more stalls will be attending with the aim of raising money for two vital charities.
