HEXHAM'S annual bonfire and fireworks display has been cancelled for the second year in a row over concerns for public safety.
Earlier this year, organisers Hexham Round Table announced their "great regret" at the decision in a statement, and vowed to be back in November 2022.
The event at the Sele normally brings thousands of people from across the region to Hexham, and also raises tens of thousands of pounds for local causes in the process.
It has been organised by Hexham Round Table for almost 70 years.
We take a look back at the event from years gone by.
