A TYNEDALE town is being asked to help put a smile on the faces of residents and visitors by decorating their homes this Hallowe'en.
County councillor Gordon Stewart, who represents Prudhoe South, is running a competition for the best decorated house in the town.
Coun. Stewart said: "We all need cheering up as the days get shorter.
"With the pandemic still upon us it is more than ever to help people smile.
"Many houses in Prudhoe are decorated already."
The winning householder will win two £10 Prudhoe Front Street vouchers.
Coun. Stewart said he has already received many nominations after announcing the competition, and that local Mr Whippy ice cream man Martyn Robson has kindly offered to add to the prize with a £10 ice cream voucher.
