AS we approach Halloween many will be looking forward to one of Hexham’s biggest events.

The town’s annual Spook Night sees thousands come to the town, many in fancy dress.

Last year’s event was unable to go ahead due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but it will be returning this year.

With fairground rides, hot food, fancy dress competitions, pumpkin carving and performances, there’s always fun for all the family.

Spook Night 2021 takes place on October 30 between 2pm and 9pm, around Beaumont Street, Market Place and the Abbey Grounds.

What are your memories of Halloween in years gone by? What’s the scariest thing you have ever seen?
