POLICE are investigating a suspected arson at a premises on a Prudhoe retail park.
Shortly before 12.20am today (Thursday), police received a report of a fire at BJC Bathroom and Kitchen Showroom, on Tyneview Retail Park, Prudhoe.
"It was reported that an unknown male had approached the premises before throwing a brick and accelerant through the window before fleeing the scene", a Northumbria Police spokeswoman said.
Officers and a crew from Northumberland Fire and Rescue attended and the fire was extinguished.
The spokeswoman added: "No one was injured and the incident is being treated as suspected arson."
