There is an estate of someone who had died in Hexham still waiting to be claimed.

When somebody with no written will or any known family dies their estate is passed to the Crown.

Relatives then have the right to come forward and make a claim on the estate.

If no claim is made after 30 years, the estate is then permanently passed to the Crown and the Treasury.

A number of notices for relatives to make claim on estates of people who have recently passed away in the area are due to expire.

Otherwise the estates will only be distributed to claims and interests with prior notice.

Public notices on estate include:

Ronald Jack Buckle
