A 55-YEAR-OLD cyclist was taken to hospital with an arm injury after a crash.
At 11.45am yesterday (Sunday), police received a report a car had collided with a cyclist on the B6395 in Prudhoe.
The cyclist had been travelling eastbound and approaching a bridge when he was struck by a car which then left the area, police said.
A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said: "Officers and emergency services attended the scene and the 55-year-old cyclist was taken to hospital with an arm injury.
"Enquiries to the trace the vehicle are ongoing. Anyone with information can get in touch using the Tell Us Something page quoting log NP-20210926-0496."
