A PONTELAND man has been fined more than £1,000 for failing to give information to police.
Jed Oliver Turnbull (26), of Kirkley Drive, was found guilty at North Tyneside Magistrates Court on Thursday (September 23) of failing to give information to Northumbria Police relating to the identification of the driver of a Volkswagen vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
The incident happened on March 25, 2020.
He had denied the charge.
Turnbull was fined £660 and ordered to pay costs of £620, as well as a £66 victim surcharge.
His driving record was endorsed with six points.
A further charge of driving at a speed exceeding the 30mph limit was dismissed.
