WE’RE lucky here in Tynedale to have some brilliant Indian restaurants to order a takeaway from, whether you fancy a hot and spicy vindaloo or something milder.
We asked for readers’ recommendations of their favourite places.
Zyka, Hexham
The Indian restaurant proved popular when we asked for recommendations on Facebook, with Beth Williamson, Sam Jade, Michael Scott, and Tania Robson all agreeing it was the best place to order a takeaway from.
The restaurant, on Priestpopple, is also a favourite of @AndigoneNals007 on Twitter.
Acomb Tandoori, Hexham
Carolyn Melville said the restaurant is "wonderful". Rachel Dodds also recommended Acomb Tandoori, along with Maureen Shotton who said "Acomb all day long".
Aramee, Prudhoe
The Indian restaurant in Prudhoe proved another popular place to order a takeaway from.
Anne Styles, Warren Langdon, Paul Townsend, Zoe Mcgee-Clark and Hayley Dickinson all recommended the restaurant on Front Street in the town.
John Patmore also said Aramee was "easily the best in the area" for an Indian takeaway.
Indus Valley, Hexham
Mandy Mit said her favourite place to order an Indian takeaway from was Indus Valley on Station Road.
Cilantro, Hexham
Debra Brown recommended the restaurant on Market Place, which offers a fusion of Indian and Latin American tapas food.
Mogul Raj, Ponteland
Diane Smith said the Mogul Raj, on Merton Road, is the best place to order an Indian takeaway from.
Saathi, Hexham
Alan Donnelly, Dawni Graham, and Caroline Watson all recommended the Indian restaurant on Priestpopple.
Chloe Rebecca Nicholas also said "Saathi's 100%".
Ian Harkness recommended the Corbridge Tandoori and The Valley, also in Corbridge.
