A TYNEDALE man has been jailed after admitting assaulting a woman and causing criminal damage.
Michael Foley (31), of Dobson Gardens, Acomb, assaulted a woman in Hexham on May 23 this year, North Tyneside Magistrates' Court heard.
On the same date, Foley damaged a TV, TV stand and microwave, to the value of £600, belonging to the woman.
Foley had previously denied the charges, but changed his plea to guilty.
Magistrates sentenced Foley to 10 weeks in prison for each charge, to be served concurrently.
