AN investigation has been launched after an attempted overnight break-in at a butchers in Stocksfield.
Shortly before 5.45am today (Monday), Northumbria Police received a report of an attempted break-in at a premises on Birches Nook, Stockfield.
A spokeswoman said: "Nothing was taken but the attempt did cause serious damage to the premises.
“An investigation has been launched into the incident and enquires are ongoing.
"Anyone with CCTV footage or anyone who can assist with the investigation in any way is asked to contact police via the website and quote log NP-20210906-0142."
