Firefighters smashing Three Peaks Challenge
A TEAM of firefighters taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for charity are well on their way.
Firefighters from Allendale are taking on the challenge - which sees people climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in less than 24 hours - for The Fire Fighters Charity.
The team has already tackled Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike and will later start the ascent of Snowdon.
The total walking distance is 23 miles and the total ascent is 10,052ft.
