LAST week ITV confirmed when the crime drama will be back on our screens.
The hit show's 11th series will begin tonight at 8pm and will see the return of the beloved crime-solving detective.
Vera, which is based on books by Ann Cleeves, is filmed in locations across the North East.
And Brenda Blethyn, who plays DCI Vera Stanhope, along with other cast members have been spotted filming in Tynedale in recent months for the upcoming series.
Locations, where they have been spotted, include Hexham, Corbridge, Stamfordham, Matfen and Allendale.
