ON Thursday the UK Government announced what changes will be made to it's travel list, these changes will go into effect from Monday 30th August at 4 am.

The changes include:

Green list travel 

- Canada

- Denmark

- Finland 

- Liechtenstein

- Lithuania

- Switzerland 

- The Azores 

All these countries will be moving onto the green list, meaning that it is ok to visit these countries as long as you provide a negative covid test and/or are fully vaccinated.

Amber list travel 

No countries have yet been announced to be moving onto the amber list, but countries that are at risk of being moved from green to amber and are on the Government 'Green watchlist' are:

- Dominica

- Grenada

- Israel and Jerusalem

- Montserrat

- Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie and Oeno Islands 

- Taiwan

- Turks and Caicos Islands 

The UK Government advises people not to travel to these countries unless absolutely necessary. Before travelling back to England people must take a Covid-19 before their flight and book and pay for a Covid-19  test to be taken upon arrival in England. 

Red list travel 

Only two counties will be moving onto the red list on Monday, these include:

- Thailand 

- Montenegro 

The Government advises people they must not travel to areas on the red list. If you do travel to England from these areas you are required to book a quarantine hotel and two Covid-19 tests.
